Confusing watershed area in HydroLAKES

The PDF reference of HydroLakes mentions that the attribute table of the HydroLAKES_polysv10 shows the Wshd_area field for the watershed area at the pour point of the lake i.e. area drained by the lake.

However, there are entries which have very small value for lake area (or dimensions) but have very large values for Wshdarea. (e.g. Hylak_id 1081778)

My questions to the developers and the community:

What should the user understand from this?
Are there any suggestion on working with HydroLAKES with meaningful Wshd_area values?
