Hydrobasin

I downloaded hydrobasin for the Africa in a bid to clip out my basin of interest. When I loaded these on QGIS, there was a warning at the top saying “invalid data source : C/Users/ USER/desktop/hybas_af_level01-12vlc/hybas_af_lev01_v1c.sbx is not valid or recognized data source 47 more” .

Please what can I do

Hi Shogo , you should only open the files with the extension “.shp”.

The shapefile format uses multiple files (eg .shp, .sbx, .xml, .prj, .dbf) which combine to make the data, but you can only open the .shp file to access the data. The other files, like .sbx, support the .shp file and cannot be opened.
